อุทยานแห่งชาติเอราวัณ ประกาศกลับมาเปิดการท่องเที่ยวอีกครั้ง ในรูปแบบเที่ยวไป-กลับ งดพักแรม ให้เข้าเยี่ยมชมได้ตั้งแต่วันที่ 10 ก.ย. 64 นี้ พร้อมเผยภาพระดับความลึกของน้ำตกแต่ละชั้น และเน้นย้ำให้สวมชูชีพลงเล่นน้ำทุกชั้นเพื่อความปลอดภัย

สามารถเดินเล่นและลงเล่นน้ำได้ทุกชั้น (ชั้น 1-7)
- น้ำตกชั้น 1-2 สามารถลงเล่นน้ำได้ถึงเวลา 16.30 น.
- น้ำตกชั้น 3-7 สามารถลงเล่นน้ำได้ถึงเวลา 16.00 น.
- งดขึ้นน้ำตกชั้น 3-7 หลังเวลา 16.00 น.

และในการลงเล่นน้ำต้องสวมเสื้อชูชีพทุกคน ทุกชั้น ซึ่งสามารถเตรียมมาเองหรือไม่สะดวกทางอุทยานฯ มีบริการให้เช่าเสื้อชูชีพที่บริเวณน้ำตกชั้น 1 โดยทางอุทยานได้เผยภาพระดับความลึกของน้ำตกเอราวัณเพื่อให้ทุกคนได้ระวังเพื่อความความปลอดภัยที่เพิ่มขึ้น

สำหรับ "น้ำตกเอราวัณ" แห่งอุทยานแห่งชาติเอราวัณ อ.ศรีสวัสดิ์ จ.กาญจนบุรี เป็นแหล่งท่องเที่ยวประเภทน้ำตกยอดฮิตมาทุกยุคทุกสมัย โดยอุทยานแห่งชาติน้ำตกเอราวัณนั้น มีลักษณะพื้นที่เป็นภูเขาสูงชันสลับกับพื้นที่ราบ สายน้ำที่มีต้นกำเนิดจากภูเขาลูกนี้ไหลรวมตัวกันเป็น "น้ำตกเอราวัณ"

ซึ่งภูเขาส่วนใหญ่เป็นเทือกเขาหินปูน ทำให้น้ำที่ไหลมานี้มีหินปูนหรือแคลเซียมคาร์บอเนตละลายอยู่ในน้ำ สาหร่ายหรือตะไคร่น้ำต่างๆ จึงไม่สามารถขยายพันธุ์เจริญเติบโตได้ น้ำจึงดูใสสะอาด เมื่อแสงแดดส่องลงมากระทบ น้ำจะดูดกลืนคลื่นแสงสีแดงไว้ ทำให้มองเห็นพื้นของน้ำตกหินปูนเป็นสีฟ้าอมเขียวใสแจ๋วและสวยงามนั่นเอง และอีกหนึ่งข้อดีของน้ำตกหินปูนก็คือพื้นหินบริเวณน้ำตกจะไม่ลื่น ไม่ค่อยมีอุบัติเหตุลื่นล้มหล่นน้ำกันสักเท่าไร

น้ำตกเอราวัณที่งดงามนี้มีชั้นน้ำตกทั้งหมด 7 ชั้นด้วยกัน ดังนี้ชั้นแรก “ไหลคืนรัง” เป็นชั้นน้ำตกเตี้ยๆ เหมาะกับการเล่นน้ำเพราะเป็นแอ่งตื้น ส่วนชั้นที่ 2 “วังมัจฉา” ชั้นนี้ถือเป็นจุดเล่นน้ำตกยอดนิยม เพราะเป็นแอ่งน้ำตกกว้าง และชั้นที่ 3 “ผาน้ำตก” ก็เป็นอีกหนึ่งจุดที่อนุญาตเล่นน้ำได้ บริเวณชั้นนี้จะเป็นหน้าผาล้อมรอบ มีน้ำตกไหลลงจากหน้าผาสูงราวๆ 10 เมตร ลงสู่แอ่งน้ำท่ามกลางต้นไม้ร่มรื่น 



ชั้นต่อไปคือชั้นที่ 4 มีชื่อว่า “อกนางผีเสื้อ” เพราะมีก้อนหินใหญ่กลมมนสองก้อนดูคล้ายหน้าอกผู้หญิง สายน้ำจะไหลลงผ่านหินทั้งสองก้อนมองแล้วเพลินตา ชั้นที่ 5 มีชื่อว่า “เบื่อไม่ลง” เป็นชั้นน้ำตกเตี้ยๆ ไหลลดหลั่นกันลงมาผ่านแอ่งน้ำเป็นชั้นๆ ส่วนชั้นที่ 6 มีชื่อว่า “ดงพฤกษา” ตรงนี้เป็นผาหินใหญ่ล้อมรอบด้วยต้นไม้นานาพรรณ สายน้ำตกสีขาวเป็นฟองนุ่มๆ ไหลลงจากก้อนหินใหญ่สู่แอ่งน้ำด้านล่าง



ชั้นที่ 7 อันเป็นชั้นสุดท้าย “ภูผาเอราวัณ” ถือเป็นชั้นไฮไลต์ของน้ำตกเอราวัณเลยทีเดียว ตรงจุดนี้สายน้ำตกไหลลงมาจากหน้าผาสูงที่ต้องแหงนมองคอตั้งบ่า เมื่อน้ำตกไหลลงมายังก้อนหิน (โดยเฉพาะเวลาที่น้ำมาก) จะมีลักษณะคล้ายช้างสามเศียรหรือช้างเอราวัณ จนเป็นที่มาของชื่อน้ำตกและชื่ออุทยานแห่งชาติเอราวัณนั่นเอง
